I just wanted to follow up with a good report. HDMgold got me up and running again after two sweeps. There were still errors, but I was able to run McAfee DiskMinder whick after several sweeps eliminated the other errors. There was still an adjustment that was made to the FAT file to perfect it. But the great news, not only is the computer fully recovered but better than before. For almost a year I had not been able to run Defrag for the C drive. The defrag ran beautifully, so now the computer is tuned up and running fantastic. Thanks again for a GREAT PRODUCT and FAST SUPPORT. I will recommend your product to all my friends.

My name is Grant and I am from South Africa. My D drive lost its partition table last week and I have been trying to get someone to assist me to recover all my data. Quotations from R1,000.00 (approx. $160.00) to R3,500,00 (approx. $560.00) was thrown at me so I decided to see if I could find cheaper software that could assist me to recover my data. Hard Drive Mechanic was the first hit I got out of Google. I too was sceptical to order over the internet as I have been scammed on two other occasions ordering software in my own country. After reading all 40 testimonials and surfing the net for 4 hours, I decided to give Hard Drive Mechanic a try. To spend $69.95 (approx. R430.00) was still a scary experience not knowing if it was going to work or not. But guess what, within 35 minutes all my problems were no longer. I was ecstatic to see my D drive re-born. It was worth investing in Hard Drive Mechanic. I’ll recommend it to anybody, anytime. Thanks Hard Drive Mechanic.
Kind regards,
Grant J Tyler
The
contents of my second HD (D:) on my old WIN98 computer were GONE! I used an old copy of diskfix from PCTools 7.1 to attempt a repair. To my further shock, my boot drive C: somehow got damaged. I thought I was going to pay hundreds of dollars to have a technician restore or recover my data. I saw your software after Googling for "hard disk repair." I purchased it via PayPal and in 15 minutes my C: drive was up and running.
Now I'm trying to see if this miracle software will find my lost data on D: What a great product!!!!!

Dear Sirs:
A week or so ago, I downloaded Hard Drive Mechanic which was supposed to
include Drive-to-Drive. This added bonus was a compelling reason why I
decided to purchase the program.
After some difficulty, I was able to download the HD program and it has,
true to its promo, restored the MBR on my 40 GB drive. This is one of 4
infected drives.
... Again, while I haven't had an opportunity to work on the other infected
drives, HD Mechanic worked as advertised and I would be remiss if I did
not enthusiastically recommend it to everyone.
Thanks again,
Loui Chachere
I read
all of the testimonials and drove around in my car before I decided to
buy your product this afternoon, June 30. Tonite, my hard drive is
as good as new. You people deserve a gold metal. Many thanks.

Thanks
a lot, your software really saved me.
I had some trouble with an IDE raid-controller (Dawicontrol) and the
Partitiontable was lost.
It took your software about 5 min. to fix it.
Achim Krausgrill -Germany
Thank
you for producing such a wonderful product. Hard Drive Mechanic
Gold fixed my partition table within minutes. Now my system is up
and running and I have the chance to do what I should have been doing all
along...backing up. Thanks again. I bought and downloaded the
software today, 06/09/04.

Hi
there, I was very sceptical about the claims made and thought long
and hard about paying out $49.00 US for the program. However, I did
and although it took about three hours and several repairs I managed to
recover about 16 months work - thank you guys for a good honest program
that does what you need when you need it - from a grateful user in the
UK....
I installed a second hard drive
(300 GB F:)in my PC some time ago.The OS Windows XP home edition is on my
C:drive.I successfully formatted the new drive as NTFS and transferred 30GB
of info to it.Due to corruption of some system files on the C: drive I
decided to do a clean install of Windows XP again back to the C: drive. To
my horror the OS now reported that F:drive was not formatted. It was
listed as BASIC RAW with half of the space unallocated.
Microsoft said loading service pack1 would solve the problem but the OS
still reported the same as before. I successfully ran HDM2000 tonight and
now have all my data back. Many thanks
for a brilliant piece of software.

I
downloaded Hard Drive Mechanic today and didn't see the link for a free
copy of Drive 2 Drive until afterwards. Can you please send it to me
(soft copy is fine). HDM totally recovered my hard drive today! I had
edited my boot.ini and couldn;t boot. I used Windows Recovery Console
which replaced by Master Boot Sector and still couldn't boot. I then
tried Norton Utilities 2003 and things went from bad to worse. So, THANK
YOU!!! -- John
All I can say is THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! Your product (The Hard
Drive Mechanic) saved valuable and sensitive personal data. I'm
sure I would have paid MUCH more through a data recovery service, and it
would have taken DAYS instead of MINUTES! Gotta
love it when software delivers!

Just an half an hour ago I purchased your program because my hard drive
failed me. Windows XP requested that I should format the drive. I was
devastede. Last time it happened I lost most of my files. I manage this
time to find your site and buy your program. I was very sceptical due to
my last failure of retrivel. But hey your program came through clean!!!
THANK YOU FOR A SUPERB PROGRAM!!!! If not for it most of my pictures of
freinds, writen documents, and lots more would have been go. Thank you
very much! Keep up the good work.
Fredrik Karlsson, Stallarholmen, Sweden
Thanks a Million!
I have received the software, installed it and I have recovered my Data.
Thanks, I will tell everyone that your program works very well.

Where do I start to express my gratitude for the makers of Hard Drive
Mechanic Gold. What an extra - ordinary piece of work. I had accidentally
formatted my Hard Drive on my wife’s machine ( this is an automatic death
sentence ). She had been running a WinXP upgrade but I had never
reformatted the drive to NTFS. Imagine my surprise after I followed the
procedure setup in the unformat pdf file and saw the files that I needed.
WOW! What an incredible piece of software ... Thank You! Thank You! Thank
You! .... from

I want to say thanks for creating such a nice piece of software
"Drive
Mechanic" I worked over 10 hours using every version of scandisk,
trying
ghost, trying to manually copy even pieces of my hard drive to no avail.
I
then found your software and within an hour had the old drive booted back
up
and was able to run scandisk, do my ghost and it looks as though all my
data
is here.
Thanks

Gentlemen:
After three sleepless nights, triggered by a power supply failure
which
caused a hard drive failure, I downloaded "Hard Drive Mechanic
Gold". I was
prepared for the worst-rebuilding two years of Quick Books data, as well
as
Turbo Tax, Word files, Excel, etc.
I loaded your program, and in 15 minutes the problem was corrected. I
was
able to boot from the Windows XP CD and reinstall the corrupted files.
Thanks for a great program!

A couple of weeks ago, I was attempting to transfer data from an old hard
drive to a new hard drive for our new server. I should mention that our
old
server had been failing for some time, and the tape backup had not
functioned in a couple of months--which is why we bought a new server. I
goofed up, and wound up trashing the partition table on the old hard
drive!
Since our tape backup had not functioned in a couple of months, I thought
I
had basically flushed our company down the toilet. Well, I bought Hard
Drive Mechanic, and in no time I had the old hard drive fixed, copied the
data to the new hard drive, and had the new server up in running. Thanks.

I would like to take a few minutes and let you know how amazed I was at
the success & simplicity of your repair program. With the problem I
had with Win. XP I thought my hard drive was a goner. Thanks to your
program it is working perfectly.
It is worth 10 times what I paid for it. I also want to thank your
weekend support tech for his help and knowledge on 12/21/03.
Thanks again everybody.
This is the best Christmas gift I have ever received.

Hi ,
I recently installed a new hard drive and OS on my computer. I installed
my old drive as the slave intending to then copy files to the new drive,
however I could not find my files I got a box that said drive needs to be
formatted Y or N . I selected no.
Every company I contacted wanted hundreds of dollars and ship the drive
to them. I found your web site and after talking with the helpful folks
in CS I downloaded the demo. I encountered several terms that I was not
familiar with this required even more calls to CS each time I got
courteous and friendly service. After the determination was made that my
drive was repairable I then purchased the full version and BINGO I got
all my data back fully and completely.
Thank you for you professional and friendly service. It was a pleasure
doing business with people who really care.
Best regards
George Allen
Hello,
I visited your website to find a recovery tool from an NTFS partition on
a
NEW MAXTOR drive that is failing. I purchased Hard Drive Mechanic and
called
your support line to ask a few questions. While I'm sure if HDM will fix
my
problem I must say is is a very valuable product and your support is
superior. Having a real person answer the phone and not immediately ask
for
a credit card number is a very pleasant surprise. This is what support
use
to be and should be. HDM is a very impressive product and one which I am
sure will get alot of use for some time to come.
Thanks for great products and superior support.

Hi,
I usually don’t give praise easily, however ! Your software is really
"unbelievable". Although I was skeptical at first, it worked just as
advertised, and even better.
It is easy to use and I recovered a XP 180 GB drive in under a half-hour;
most of the time spent was looking for a mouse driver.
It certainly is refreshing to use something that really works in this day
and age especially when a lot of software doesn’t.
Purchasing through the internet and downloading was also a big plus for
me.
Thanks so much!

GREAT product, and thanks for saving my bacon (it was my boss's

Hope I didn't ruffle any feathers with the last question I asked. I am
truely a novice and I really didn't know. A knowledgeable friend has
enlightened me.
I was able to access DOS commands again on our C:\> drive through a
Windows ME startup disk, and renamed the Windows folder and reinstalled
Windows ME. Don't think we could have done this without your
software.
Many thanks to you. We are now able to recover the files we did not
backup. Scandisk is showing some damaged areas. We can now take this HD
issue up with Gateway as my wife mentioned we are still under an extended
warranty.
Thanks again for the great software.

James,
You was correct the downloaded file must have been corrupt. The new file
worked
perfectly. The program was everything advertised and more. I work with a
lot of
technical support in my job and yours is second to none. I will sing
your
programs praises to everyone who will listen and direct them where to
purchase
it on the web.
Thanks Again

Hi!
I purchased Hard Drive Mechanic Gold from Circuit City, and swear by
it.
So much so, that I know I sold several copies for you to my co-workers and
business associates.
Keep up the good work, I found it to be just the thing I needed to
save
1,000's of hours of work, and countless downloaded software programs that
I
would have lost were it not for HDMGOLD!
Sincerely,
Jim Morrison
Thank you so much for your quick support (on a Saturday no less).
Your
advice would have been worth waiting till Monday, The Mechanic
worked
like a charm!
Thanks,
Richard
First off I would like to say congratulations and thank you to your Tech
support, for walking through the trouble that I was having ( which was my
fault) and not the programs, the gentleman that help me was very friendly
which I can not say the same for Symantec (Norton ghost)
I would like to express how impressed I am with this program The program
worked wonderful, I could not believe how fast it was,
I even spent over two hours looking for something that it might have left
out, which to my surprise every thing was there and in tack.
it is refreshing to find a program that does what it says it does.
It is a shame that you do not advertise more then you do, because if you
did people would drop Ghost and Drive copy just to mention a few
in a heart beat.
Again Thank you
J.W. Paul
I can't begin to thank you for the time and patience you gave to me in
getting my system back up and running again and for basically saving my
sleeping life which has been non existent since my CPU crashed.
How much would it cost me total price to upgrade to the GOLD version of
MECHANIC without the other two programs that are advertised as a package
with it? I thought I remembered you saying $15 more and if that is true
how would I go about doing it.
Just in case I decide to upgrade my O.S. now would be the time to obtain
the upgrade. I probably won't upgrade my O.S. but you said the Gold
version has more bells and whistles and more closely follows the
manual.
Thanks again,
Tom Johnson
I had tried to use Norton's Emergency Disks included with Systemworks for
Windo95/98 which did not help. I had also tried OnTrack's EasyRecovery
Lite, which is part of Fix It Utilities 2000. This program took an hour
to "read" the dead disk and then only let me retrieve 10 files.
The full version is $180 to let you retrieve unlimited files but still
leave your hard drive dead. I was also thinking of "SpinRite"
from Gibson Research but I found out this program won't work with a drive
not seen in DOS.
I was actually looking for "Lost and Found" at Staples when I
saw your software - and I'm very glad I did. I read the box and it seemed
like just the utility I needed. I've never heard of your company or your
software before.
Thanks for a great product !

I purchased Hard Drive Mechanic. I am a network engineer, teach in the
computer science division at a college and have my own consulting business.
I have come across many problems that appear to have no explanation for
cause and sometimes no FIX either. I was working on a machine for a
company that had a "hard drive crash". All their counting
information was on there with no backup. Couldn't access the drive no
matter what utilities I tried. thought it was a gonner for sure. I tried
Norton Util, MicroScope, etc., and no luck. I went to our local computer
store and saw they had Hard Drive Mechanic figured I had nothing to loose
and the customer obviously could not be any worst condition. I purchased
it, I booted from the floppy, and amazingly it repaired the drive. All
the info was there and I backed it up on tape for the more than grateful
customer.
Hard Drive Mechanic made me look very good and I am sure I will be
getting many recommendations from him now. I feel more confident that if
it possible at all to recover a drive, I have the tool(s) that will do
it. Thanks again, refreshing to see something that is not just all glitz
on the screen and doesn't work. Glitz and works, what else can a
technician ask for (and reasonable priced to boot).

Considering the panic most feel when a hard drive goes on the blink and
the fact that few people back up their files with the kind of devotion
needed to salvage everything after a devastating crash, a utility that
accomplishes what ``Hard Drive Mechanic Deluxe'' does, as quickly and
easily as it does, is nothing short of a cyberspace miracle

You have a great product. I bought the Gold version You have a great
product. I bought the Gold Version and fixed my drive in about 10
minutes. I can't believe more stores don't carry it. CompUSA didn't have
it, and Circuit City (where I bought it) didn't know anything about
it.
Thanks

Words can not express how impressed I am with this program. I just I wish
I had HDM Deluxe in the past to bring hard drive back. I plan to keep
this program readily assessable because some day (like every hard drive
in the world) my hard drive will crash. One very important feature that
needs emphasizing is that this program is not limited to one system.
canIt comes on a 3.5-inch floppy and all of the tests I have done were
made on a disk copy of the original master. I have tested HDM Deluxe on
my two home systems and my work computer. It is truly amazing that so
much power can come on just a 3.5-inch floppy. This is a must have
program for anyone that wants that extra security and peace of
mind.

This new mechanic works with ANY hard drive, can recover your drive from
98% of software-related crashes, is S.M.A.R.T. enabled for enhanced
disaster detection, automatically restores damaged or destroyed boot
sectors, and rebuilds damaged file allocation tables (FAT). It's as much
a preventative tool as it is a restorative one. Even better: it fits
& runs on a single floppy disk! This would be a wise investment for
anybody--don't think for one second that you're immune.

Attention: President of Company
I hope the spelling of the name is close to being correct. Forgive me if
it is not.
I wanted to give a compliment to one of your employees. Brett, in the
tech support department is a jewel. He talked me through a hard drive
disaster and was so good that it was as though he was sitting at my
keyboard doing the work himself. Your product performed flawlessly and
recovered very valuable data that was there one day and gone the next. My
compliments to you, your company, your products and your employees.
It's very good to see a company geared up to meet the needs of its
customers by offering not only quality products at reasonable prices, but
also quality personnel to answer the inevitable questions that will
arise. Hang onto Brett, he is excellent and deserves a raise or at the
very least, a good bonus!

"Corporations have technicians on staff to bird-dog such costly
disasters and elaborate backup mechanisms in place to forestall economic
ruin, but common folk don't, putting them at serious risk of losing
everything. Riding to the rescue comes ``Hard Drive Mechanic Deluxe'' , a

degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Just wanted to add my name to your long list of success stories. The
Chyrnoble virus wiped me out last week. Scrambled my FAT and left me a
broken man. Through a Network Associates Inc chat line about the virus, I
connected with someone who suggested your product. In desparation I ran
to the store and snagged a copy.
In less than an hour, I had regained 90% of my files. I estimate the
value of the recovered data to be right around $5000. Your product was a
lifesaver (not the candy). Thanks for doing it right!

We wanted to see Hard Drive Mechanic in action. So, we erased the
contents of our hard drive’s boot sector. That action resulted in a blank
screen and a blinking cursor when we rebooted. Sure enough, by carefully
following the instructions in Hard Drive Mechanic's manual, we were able
to return our system to a perfect working state within a half-hour.

I recently aquired Hard Drive Mechanic after my hard drive crashed.
And you know what happened? IT WORKED! As a computer technician, it is
refreshing to know that there are at least a few products available
that actually do what they promise.
- Jason A. Czekalski
The Hard Drive Mechanic is the best repair weapon in my hard drive
repair arsenal. This repair tool deserves extremely high marks
among
hard drive repair utilities. I strongly recommend this utility be
used
on any hard drive crash recovery.
- Rudy Crosby,
Computer Field Engineer
As a computer consultant/technician I know what it means to hear
the
words "crash" -- especially in regards to hard disks. Just the
other day
one of my 30gb drives started to die. I immediately linked it to a
60gb drive and started backing up. As I finished, feeling confident
of
my backup, I began to delete partitions off of the dead drive and
prepare to send it back to the manufacturer. I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED
THE
WRONG DRIVE/PARTITION. Anyhow, to sum it up -- hard drive mechanic
is
not only excellent, but it recovered a large majority -- gigabytes to
be
exact -- of my precious data which dates back to 1992. Support this
fine
company.
I purchased your Hard Drive Mechanic with skepticism. The FAT on my
disk was reportedly corrupt and I didn't think anything would be able
to
fix it. I made a few of my own attempts, inquired the help desk at
my
company, looked around on the net, none of which offered a solution.
As
a last ditch effort I purchased HDM and to my surprise the single
floppy
repaired the disk in less than 15 minutes. Outstanding. It would've
taken me at least 10 hours to rebuild the disk (os and software
packages). Not to mention many more hours replacing a good deal of
personal data. Yes, I had a backup but it was two weeks old. Thank
you
for publishing USEFUL software!
-zeek (kevintkruzich)
My heart sank.
"Failure loading operating system"
Three month's work with no backup.
It was not a good weekend.
With the emergency boot disk I had made some time ago, I found,
with
fdisk, that I now had four partitions where I once had set up one. I
was
clinging to the hope that my data was still there. After fielding
suggestions from some fellow bitheads, I went to the local Office
Depot
here in Texarkana, TX, and looked at prices. My main solution to
the
problem was to buy a new hard disk and start over, then later see if
I
could pick apart the problem with the old one. A friend recommended
I
use PartitionMagic, but after reading the box, I knew it would be a
matter of using it along with three black candles and a lot of
tech-voodoo. I took note of the price and put down the box. Then,
immediately to its left, I found Hard Drive Mechanic. 99 percent
recovery rate sounded like pretty high claims; but, it was cheaper
than
PartitionMagic, and it fit my dilemma perfectly, so I bought it. It
worked. Your product saved me around two-hundred out-of-pocket
dollars.
Thank you. For once, I have found a program that does what it says,
no
bull. Its execution was straightforward and nearly flawless. Thank
you.
The only problem I encountered was when I created the Undo disk.
The
floppies I used were known to be good, but after fifteen minutes of
floppy-thrashing for each of the two attempts, HDM could not save
the
undo data. I gave up hope for creating an undo disk and continued
with
crossed fingers. Luckily, I didn't need it. However, you may want
to
check into this problem. Does HDM save the FAT, the directory tree,
and
the partition table in the undo? Would drive size matter? I use a
Fujitsu 2.16Gb IDE drive, if this info will help. Thankfully, I am
no
longer kicking myself for shunning backups -- my
irreplaceable files are now safe. HDM was my grace. I hope you
further
your work and get greater recognition for your life-saving product.
For
hard drive problems, HDM is at the top of my recommendation list.
Here's
to the future of The Mechanic..
Cheers- Shawn Thomas,Texarkana, AR-TX,
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!
The other day I was re-partitioning a 2.5 Gig WD hard drive to take
advantage of the new FAT32 in Win 98. This was my "D"
drive.
Somehow I managed to delete the primary partition on my 4.3 Gig
"C"
drive making the drive inaccessible. I though for sure I lost all of
my
years of hard work and customer contact information. Not to mention
all
of the custom configuration and tuning I've done to my PC. I decided
NOT
to reformat and start over. Instead I went to the local software
store
to look at "disk utilities". Norton Utilities, Partition Magic
etc, none
of them claimed to replace a deleted partition. Then I saw Hard
Drive
Mechanic. Never heard of it, but what did I have to loose. To make
a
long story short, one hour later ALL of my programs and data files
are
back where they should be.
Thank You once again, George Lesniak
